Anchor Baptist Church has a new church logo. It was designed by Michael Martin of Martin Design in Cape Coral, Florida. I think it fits our church and sets the tone for the changes that will be coming. We have also finalized our new church brochure. Martin design will be printing those this week and they should be arriving shortly.
One other thing we ordered was some new church tracts. We selected two different designs from Mercy and Truth Ministries of Lawrence, Kansas. This is a local church ministry of Heritage Baptist Church. All the printing is done on a digital press. They have several selections that are all in full color. One of the tracts that we selected is called "A Life Laid Down". It details the gospel from the perspective of a soldier giving his life and parallels that to Christ giving his life. It will be great to use as an eye-catcher since there is so much focus on the war and on our soldiers. It is also a great tract to use for all patriotic holidays throughout the year: Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Patriot Day, and Independence Day.
The other design we chose is called "How to Get to Heaven from North Carolina" and adds scenery from one of the lighthouses on the Outer Banks. They have one of these tracts for each of the 50 states with pictures that coordinate. Once the brochures arrive we will use them and the tracts to start a soul winning and outreach program for the church. It is exciting to see how everything is coming together. Pray for us.
